Types of Visitor's Visas

There are several categories under the Immigration Act, each with unique requirements:

• Port of Entry Visa – for eligible nationals who require a visa before travelling to South Africa.
• Visitor’s Visa NOT Exceeding 90 Days – for holidays, family visits, business meetings, or short-term work assignments [Sections 11(1) and 11(2)].
• Visitor’s Visa Exceeding 90 Days – for longer stays such as volunteering, research, academic activities, cultural exchanges, or medical treatment.
