Types of Exchange Visas

There is one official category under the Immigration Act:

• Exchange Visa – for individuals taking part in structured programs (e.g., educational courses or short-term academic programs, cultural exchange programs, Internships or professional development initiatives) organized or administered by a recognized institution or government body, either in South Africa or in partnership with a foreign institution.
